Les 3 Vallées is inarguably the largest and best linked ski area in the universe. While there is naturally very good snowfall throughout the area this is supplemented by the huge amounts of snow cannons in situ all over the valleys with skiing usually available from early December through to May. Les 3 Vallées guarantee you the largest number of open connected runs in Europe for the whole season. Thanks to the nature of the domain and the numerous placement of snow canons (2,777 snow canons covering 54% of the ski area), Les 3 Vallées ski area is able to guarantee snow cover on its ski area which is also maintained by 70 grooming machines each night. Les 3 Vallées pistes are situated between 1,100m and 3,230m of altitude and 85% of the skiable area is above 1,800m. The capacity of snowmaking as well as the high altitude and topography of the whole ski area and the connexions between the valleys (always above 2,000 m of altitude) guarantee snow throughout the winter.
Within this vast area there is something for every type of skier – from beautifully groomed slopes, off-piste, cruisy blues, fun parks, bumps, couloirs – it’s all at your fingertips. You can reach Val Thorens in under an hour from Le Praz for morning coffee.
In Courchevel you will find over 600 km of ski slopes to enjoy - over 180 green-blue ski runs and over 140 red-black ski runs. The ski area in Courchevel is accessible whatever your level - you do not have to be a great skier to enjoy it! Are you a beginner? The Easy Rider areas are there to allow you to progress in complete safety on wide and not very steep slopes, while protected from more experienced skiers. Are you skiing with children? Some themed ski slopes have been created in Les 3 Vallées. From the family snowpark to the zip line, there is something for all ages and tastes. From the wide open Saulire and Creux bowls to the tree lined runs to La Tania and Le Praz and the wide open runs of Courchevel Moriond it’s an incredible ski area. From the top of La Saulire in Courchevel (2,740 metres), unfurls the Combe de la Saulire, which can be approached in either a full-on or laidback way (though preferably with carving skis!) with views over Mont Blanc. This is the sector in which the brave venture out onto the “Grand Couloir”, a black run which is among the most difficult in Les 3 Vallées. Or why not try the men’s world championship slope - L’Eclipse, a black run which follows the layout of the Jockeys piste down to Le Praz. This slope welcomed the World Championships in 2023 : 3.3 km and 970m vertical drop!
In Méribel Mottaret, go to the summit of Mont-Vallon (2,952 metres) and treat yourself to the Combe du Vallon: a 3 kilometre-long run that’s demanding yet delicious, with a view that some may find unnerving! In the Meribel Valley we have the other world championship slope - Roc de Fer welcomed the Alpine Skiing World Cup finals in 2022 and the World Championships in 2023.
Further afield perched at an altitude of 2,800 metres, la Pointe de la Masse looks down over the valley towards Les Menuires and Val Thorens. This sector offers high quality skiing, thanks to its northerly exposure, and guarantees optimal snow conditions throughout the winter season. Here you can explore some of the epic pistes and also head over to the 4th Valley (Orelle).
The 3 Vallées is 600 kilometres of interconnected ski runs. It’s the guarantee of the very best skiing, without ever having to go down the same run twice, and if you like, without even having to take off your skis thanks to the exceptionally well-designed ski lift network!
In addition to these endless skiing possibilities, live your skiing experience to the full, with a cutting-edge fleet of ski lifts, no queues and optimised journey times. You’ll spend a great deal more time skiing than you will on ski lifts! And even when you do board a lift, the conditions are a dream: every gondola lift, Funitel and chairlift offers unparalleled comfort and panoramic views of which it’s impossible to tire of.

What our guests say about us
Just wanted to say what a wonderful holiday we had recently. Chalet Sapin Bleu was a fabulous chalet (real luxury) and my friends and I are keen to return next season. I think what made it so good was all the friendly help from the very start, to getting there and getting skis etc sorted out. The chalet staff were great and the quality of the food was just amazing.
We had a great week with skivo – my eighth, but the first for my wife and her two friends, and also for the lovely group of people with whom we shared Chalet Roger. The entire skivo team looked after use fantastically well; nothing was too much trouble and Bogie’s cooking was superb. The lessons were really good and we had amazing weather and snow
Just wanted to email and thank you again for hosting us for such a wonderful week. Our whole party had the best time ever and we are all really struggling being back at work – especially as it is snowing heavily here! It is by far the best week of the year and we are very grateful to you and the whole skivo team for making it so memorable.
