Courchevel Le Praz is one of the most picturesque and relaxed resorts in the Courchevel Valley. The real advantage of Le Praz is that you can ski back to resort throughout the season as the runs are fully serviced with snow cannons all the way back to the village. There is also a free to use beginner’s piste, called The Envolée located nearby, adjacent to the lift station. For a challenge why not finish (or perhaps start) your day with the famous black L'Eclipse World Championship and World Cup piste which runs from above Courchevel 1850 all the way back to Le Praz.
Additionally Courchevel is less than 10 minutes away via a choice of a high speed 8 person gondola or a 6 man super fast chairlift – one going to the centre of Courchevel 1850 and the other connecting directly in to the heart of the ski area above Courchevel 1850. From here there are links on to the extensive Les 3 Vallées ski area. There is also a free ski bus which provides a regular bus service between the different Courchevel resorts (Le Praz, Village, Moriond and the highest village of Courchevel at 1800m). The bus service also connects to La Tania (which is 5 minutes away by bus).
Courchevel Le Praz is an authentic alpine village set amidst unspoilt woodland. The village and surrounding area sit on a large flat mountain ledge so it is very easy to get around on foot with no hills to navigate. A couple of thousand people live here all year round and it has the feel of a real village community. There is a primary school, speciality local shops, 6 restaurants, 6 bars, 3 ski shops, post office, laundrette, tabac/newspaper shop, 2 bakers and an excellent butcher who specialises in regional produce – in fact everything you’ll need is very close at hand. Le Praz is the Courchevel village most traditionally Savoyard in architecture and ambience and continues to boast the lowest prices across the 5 levels of the resort. With its narrow streets, quaint centre and old world charm it’s an age away from the concrete apartment and purpose built complexes very often associated with French ski resorts.

What our guests say about us
Just wanted to say what a wonderful holiday we had recently. Chalet Sapin Bleu was a fabulous chalet (real luxury) and my friends and I are keen to return next season. I think what made it so good was all the friendly help from the very start, to getting there and getting skis etc sorted out. The chalet staff were great and the quality of the food was just amazing.
We had a great week with skivo – my eighth, but the first for my wife and her two friends, and also for the lovely group of people with whom we shared Chalet Roger. The entire skivo team looked after use fantastically well; nothing was too much trouble and Bogie’s cooking was superb. The lessons were really good and we had amazing weather and snow
Just wanted to email and thank you again for hosting us for such a wonderful week. Our whole party had the best time ever and we are all really struggling being back at work – especially as it is snowing heavily here! It is by far the best week of the year and we are very grateful to you and the whole skivo team for making it so memorable.
