Our ski coaching team


We have our own ski instructors who are of the highest BASI (British Association of Snowsports Instructors) level and are also fully qualified to teach in France (having passed all of the stringent French speed tests and exams).  All of our insturctors are British.  Hover over/tap the cards below to read about our instructors.

Dave Beattie Owner / Instructor
Dave founded skivo in 1988 when it was formerly known as The Three Vallées Ski Company. His experience is rich and varied having worked in both ski schools and as a race coach. Dave worked as a Trainer and Assessor with BASI for 18 years training at all levels through to ISTD. He is French qualified and a Canadian Level 2 Race Coach.
Georgie Beattie Director / Instructor
Georgie is one of the skivo directors and a BASI ISTD instructor holding French Equivalence. She has been teaching for over twenty years and is an excellent all round mountain skier with an enthusiastic approach to her work. Georgie has taught all over the world spending periods in Austria, Italy, Switzerland and Scotland.
Ben Beattie Instructor
Ben comes from a ski jumping background starting at age 10 and competing internationally with a PB of 130 metres! He stopped competing aged 19 to study Sports Marketing. At this time Ben trained as an alpine skier and quickly attained full BASI 4 level and French equivalence. Ben manages our social media platforms and will be found on the slopes or popping into our chalets to visit guests.
Natalie Beattie Instructor
Natalie has been skiing since age 3 and is passionate about the sport. She was a member of the British Ski Team for 5 years and competed at an international level. She completed a Business Degree followed by an MBA at Webster University in Geneva. Natalie is one of our ski coaches and oversees the development of the company, focussing on the financials and how we can improve our offering.
Amy Dunlop Instructor
Amy is part of the Beattie family and was brought up here in in Courchevel. She was a national level cross country skier as a junior but having completed her degree back in the UK she returned to France and trained as a ski instructor. Having previously worked with the ESF Amy joined our team in 2018.
Andy Dolan Instructor
Andy started his ski career here in Courchevel in the mid 1990’s. He worked with us for many years before returning to the UK for a 10 year sabbatical!! Andy, along with his wife Sophie returned to the alps in 2016 along with their 2 young daughters. Andy is a classy skier but more importantly a terrific instructor working with all ski levels. He is both French and UK qualified to the highest level.

Just wanted to say what a wonderful holiday we had recently.  Chalet Sapin Bleu was a fabulous chalet (real luxury) and my friends and I are keen to return next season.  I think what made it so good was all the friendly help from the very start, to getting there and getting skis etc sorted out.  The chalet staff were great and the quality of the food was just amazing. 

We had a great week with skivo – my eighth, but the first for my wife and her two friends, and also for the lovely group of people with whom we shared Chalet Roger.  The entire skivo team looked after use fantastically well; nothing was too much trouble and Bogie’s cooking was superb. The lessons were really good and we had amazing weather and snow

Just wanted to email and thank you again for hosting us for such a wonderful week. Our whole party had the best time ever and we are all really struggling being back at work – especially as it is snowing heavily here! It is by far the best week of the year and we are very grateful to you and the whole skivo team for making it so memorable.
